Signature: inscribed [Lumb*, Wilson, Hirst, Raynor, Mac] along lower edge. Includes an Orpen self portrait between the 3 gentlemen on the left.

Provenance: Family of the artist.

Estimate: €2,000 – €3,000.

Lumb was the father of Miss Annie Isobel ‘Lillo’ Lumb (1899-1974) whom Orpen painted, aged 6, standing full length by a Regency convex mirror in which the artist is reflected. Oil on canvas – 35 x 26 inches (not in auction).
